How to install msttcorefonts on Fedora 14

If you are running any Windows OS or you have access to you can install msttcorefonts to import all Windows fonts into your Fedora box.
Be aware that a full Windows license is needed to use those fonts under Linux.

You will need to satisfy a few depedencies. Type:

yum install xfs
yum install rpm-build wget ttmkfdir cabextract
rpm -ivh http://dl.atrpms.net/all/chkfontpath-1.10.1-2.fc14.i686.rpm
rpm -Uvh /root/rpmbuild/RPMS/noarch/msttcorefonts-2.0-1.noarch.rpm
yum install --nogpgcheck /root/rpmbuild/RPMS/noarch/msttcorefonts-2.0-1.noarch.rpm

Pay attention to install all the above as you will get errors especially when you haven't installed the chkfontpath which by the way is not included in any Fedora repo, don't know why.

Battlemidget, it works fine on my Fedora. Just be sure that you have all repos enabled as described in this article: http://linux-knowledgebase.com/en/Linux/HOWTO/The_must_repos_to_have_when_running_Fedora_14

This article isn't fully correct as it libpopt is required for command line parsing which isn't available in fedora 14
