Printing in Linux sometimes is a pain especially when you are a newbie. Simple things like killing a job might not work via the GUI. This is where the terminal comes handy.




Allow specific IP via htaccess

By placing the following code in your .htaccess file, you can block access to your website from everyone except the IP addresses you specify.
This can be particularly useful if your website is under construction and you don’t want other visitors to see the site, or have search engine spiders indexing pages that are not yet completed.




How to find large directories

Use this simple command to find large directories. To find directories over 1GB.
backup:/# du -h / | grep ^[0-9.]*G
The above command will display something like the following.
